Growing Tendies wants everyone to be able to read this site and use its calculators, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

The standard

The goal is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

What has been done

On November 3, 2026 every page on the site was tested with the axe-core accessibility checker, and the problems it found were fixed. Text and links now meet the contrast minimum, links in articles are underlined, icon links and images have text alternatives, every page has a "Skip to content" link and a visible keyboard focus outline, and the calculators' scrolling tables can be reached with a keyboard.

Known limits

  • Automated tests find only part of what can go wrong. The site has not yet been reviewed with a screen reader from start to finish.
  • The newsletter sign-up form comes from beehiiv, and its accessibility is partly up to that service.
  • Charts and images in older posts may have shorter descriptions than newer ones.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please say so through the contact page. Say which page and what went wrong, and it will be fixed or you will get the information another way.
