Futures calculator

Profit and loss, tick values, and position size for CME futures. Every contract spec below is quoted from CME's own rulebook or fact card, linked per contract.

Disclosure: I earn nothing from this page. There are no affiliate links here, no broker or prop firm deals, and nothing is gated. If that ever changes, I will say so right here, in this spot, before anything else.

New to this? What a tick is actually worth explains the arithmetic, the treasury 32nds trap, and the position sizing that empties accounts.

Sizing uses your stop distance. It assumes you are filled at your stop, which slippage and gaps can break. A prop firm trailing drawdown moves as your balance moves, so the max loss limit you type here is only correct for the moment you type it.

Micros are one tenth of their full-size contract, with one exception: Micro Silver is one fifth of Silver.

Where to go next

Want the contract specs as a spreadsheet?

The calculator stays free and open either way. If you want all 25 contracts as a spreadsheet you can edit, with the CME source link on every row, leave your email. No sequence, no pitch, no selling your address to anybody.

Where these numbers come from. Every point value, tick size, and tick value is taken from CME Group's own rulebook chapters and fact cards, linked per contract in the table above. Tick sizes shown are outright increments. Calendar and intermonth spread increments differ for several contracts and are not modelled here.

P/L is arithmetic on the prices you enter. It excludes exchange, clearing, NFA, and platform fees unless you enter them in the fee box, and it excludes slippage, overnight margin, and any funding or subscription cost.

Nothing here is investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation. Futures are leveraged and can lose more than the amount deposited.
